In addition to the academic language skills, literacy skills are incorporated into our curriculum for those who have not had the opportunity to pursue their education or have had to interrupt their education in their first language because of family responsibilities or circumstances beyond their control.
The federal and provincial governments have given increasing priority to Adult Literacy. Adult Literacy is also an increasingly recognized area of educational concern in the English as Second Language sector.
Mosaic recognizes the need to develop both the literacy skills and the academic skills of our ESL learners. Instructors have the skills, experience and credentials to provide a learning environment that addresses the dual language literacy of our ESL literacy learners in addition to integrating Workplace Essential Skills, Cultural communication skills and career planning into their planning and delivery.
This is a very challenging and rewarding area that our ESL Literacy Instructors tackle with efficiency and effectiveness.
